At the start of this week Solskjaer was a long as 25/1 but now he is third favourite at 3/1 and why? Because of Pochettino and his sudden availability.
Pochettino was long time favourite to get the United job before Solskjaer, but now with the season not going especially well – Bookmakers and Punters firmly believe the pressure is on the Norwegian.
OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton commented: “Once again the Bookmakers got wise on the Premier League Sack Race, they have not yet been caught out. Firstly Javi Gracia and now Mauricio Pochettino.
“And now the question is who will be next? Emery is again favourite at 5/4 just ahead of Southampton’s Ralph Hassenhuttl at 2/1.
“But the big money in the light of Pochetttino’s sacking has come on Solskjaer who surely must be looking over his shoulder now.
“Another big move has been Leicester’s Brendan Rodgers, whose name has been linked to Arsenal in recent weeks.”
