Arsene Wenger’s continued denials that Alexis Sanchez will be leaving Arsenal has finally seen his odds on stay at The Emirates drop, now is the time to get on the Chilean if you think he is going to depart – according to odds specialists OddsMonkey.
For the first time this summer Arsenal are now odds-on to keep the Chilean superstar, who has less than 12-months left on his current deal and is wanted by both Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City.
But Wenger is insistent Sanchez will be staying, and finally the Bookmakers look like they are starting to believe him with PaddyPower just one who is making The Gunners favourites to have him next season and listing him at 8/11.
But OddsMonkey see now as the time to strike, if you are thinking Sanchez will leave this summer.
“The odds are now coming round to Arsenal keeping Sanchez, with Wenger insisting he wants to keep him despite no new contract – but will the Arsenal board allow him to run down his deal and potentially lose £50million, we don’t think so,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“The odds for another club are looking more and more appealing, PSG are 11/8 but Man City are the interesting ones – they were odds-on not so long ago and are now 4/1 – very much ones to keep an eye on in this market.
“We need to remember when looking at Sanchez, Wenger has said this a number of times with regards to the likes of Fabgregas, Nasri, RVP – insisting they were not leaving only to see them depart months or even weeks later.”
