Former England and Chelsea star John Terry, is being tipped to make a quick move into football management after being made favourite to take charge at new club Aston Villa.
The 36-year-old made the shock decision to continue his playing career outside the Premier League in the summer and he opted to joined Villa and was made captain by Steve Bruce.
However, Bruce’s job is now understood to be under real threat as they have taken just one point from their first three league games.
Now markets are open on Bruce’s possible replacement and Terry has been installed 7/2 favourite and odds specialists OddsMonkey believe their is opening value.
“7/2 could be quite a big price, especially if Terry does not distance himself from these reports, he has always look a manager in waiting and this could be an interesting option for Villa,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Ricky Pedley.
“Of course Steve Bruce has not been sacked yet, but markets like this create pressure too.
“And if you think someone else is going to take over, then the fact Terry is so short offers real value elsewhere in the market.”
