Everything is pointing towards the first Premier League manager departing very soon, and seemingly it could even be by this weekend, if Bookmakers are to be believed.
Crystal Palace are widely reported to be close to pulling the trigger on Frank De Boer’s tenure, less than a month into the new season.
Defeat at Burnley on Sunday could see De Boer axed less than three months into his tenure.
“Rumours began a coupe of weeks ago around De Boer, and all Bookmakers running a first Premier League boss to leave market have been cutting and cutting the odds on the Dutchman and is now generally 4/7 but is as low as 1/2,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“Punters are clearly latching onto De Boer, despite the fact his nearest rivals such as West Ham’s Slaven Bilic and Newcastle’s Rafa Benitez have also been linked with exits.
“We have been told by some Bookmakers it is a matter of when rather than if De Boer goes – one to watch over the weekend, that is for sure.”
