Strictly set for changes?

Strictly Come Dancing came to an end at the weekend but already Bookmakers are looking ahead to next year and can see changes on the horizon.

We saw a new head judge coming in with Shirley Ballas replacing Len Goodman, but she proved popular and the chances of her being replaced look remote at this point with the same four judges rated at 1/3.

But interestingly it is the type of line-ups that might change, and will we see the first same gender couple.

“Bookmakers, like the general public, are taking this serious as a possible outcome on Strictly – they are as short as 6/4 for a same gender couple to be competing this time next year,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.

“We saw Joe McFadden crowned, which was a good result for the public, as he finished odds-on favourite to land the Glitter Ball – but already even at this stage you can have a punt on who might appear with ex-Formula One world champion Jenson Button the favourite at 5/1 to make an appearance whilst comedian Miranda Hart – a confirmed Strictly fan herself – is just 6/1.”

To take part in Strictly 2018:
5/1 Jenson Button
5/1 Paula Radcliffe
6/1 Miranda Hart
6/1 Joe Wicks
8/1 Mike Tindall
8/1 Olly Murs
8/1 Samantha Womack
8/1 Steph McGovern
10/1 Louise Minchin
12/1 Chris Evans
