There is no way back for Antonio Conte at Chelsea, with Bookmakers and public alike convinced he will be departing Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Blues’ latest defeat at the hands of rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, saw them drop to eight points behind Spurs in fourth – meaning their hopes of a top-four finish are virtually over.
They are now as long as they have been for a long time, at 20/1 – somewhat bigger than Conte’s odds of him being in charge of Chelsea.
“Chelsea’s season is going from bad to worse, and Conte does look resigned to his fate,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“That defeat was seemingly the last straw for their top-four hopes – and his odds on him leaving, are just as bad. He is now 4/11 to not be in charge, which is over 70% probability.
“The departure of Alan Pardew at West Bromwich Albion has also impacted on him, as odds on him being the next top-flight manager are now just 7/4.”
