Wayne Rooney could be set to leave Everton this summer, just a year on from rejoining his boyhood club.
The 32-year-old returned to Goodison Park last summer after ending his 14-year stay with Manchester United.
Rooney has had an in-different season upon his return with ten-goals, but often he has been played in midfield under Ronald Koeman and then Sam Allardyce.
Now reports suggest that he is ready to move to on with Major League Soccer side DC United keen to land him.
“Bookmakers are a little divided on Wayne Rooney, whilst they are taking the interest seriously – the belief is that he will be staying put,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“He is just 9/4 generally to move to America, but he is 4/11 to remain at Goodison Park which probably stems from the fact that current boss Sam Allardyce could very well be leaving.
“Looking at the bigger odds you can get 20/1 on him joining his close friend Steven Gerrard at Rangers – which would be a big ask for a confirmed Celtic fan like Rooney.”
Selected odds on Wayne Rooney:
To stay at Everton – 4/11
To join any MLS club – 9/4
To join Rangers – 20/1
