Manchester City have long wrapped up the title, whilst they made history by becoming the first team to hit 100 points in a league season and the Bookmakers are already fearing them next season.
City sealed the record points haul on the final day of the season but they are already being backed for success next season.
They are odds-on to retain their Premier League title, generally 4/6 – which is 60% implied probability.
“We can’t forget that Chelsea were fancied to retain their title last year, but this feels different and the Bookmakers feel the same, this could become a dynasty under Pep Guardiola and they are being priced accordingly,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“They are odds-on for the title, but just 10/1 for the 100 point record and just 40/1 for an unbeaten season.
“It sounds strange the odds being so short, but if City begin the season well, you should be getting on them now if you fancy them to do well and the odds are suggesting that people already are.”
Selected Manchester City odds for next season:
To win the Premier League – 4/6
To reach 100 points – 10/1
To go season unbeaten – 40/1
