Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd is odds-on favourite to be competing in Strictly Come Dancing 2020.
Shepherd and his partner have been active on Social Media in talking about their love of ballroom, and that has led to hoards of fans telling him to enter the BBC’s flagship show.
And he would be the latest in a long-line of Coronation Street stars to take to the ballroom floor with Catherine Tyldesley featuring last year who followed on from Georgia May Foote, Natalie Gumede, Jimi Mistry, former winner Jill Halfpenny and his screen sister Tina O’Brien.
OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton commented: “Everyone is looking forward to Strictly Come Dancing 2020, which is due to hit the screens later this year and once again there are no shortage of names being linked.
“Jack P Shepherd would no doubt be a very popular choice, being one of the biggest names in Soapland and he is 8/15 to be name in the starting line-up.
“The only other odds-on star is Jamie Laing, the Made in Chelsea star who was forced to pull out of the show due to injury last year – but he is looks in-line to take part again.”
