One of the sure things that will happen this summer is Ross Barkley leaving Everton, and unsurprisingly he is odds-on to join Tottenham – but odds specialists OddsMonkey see this as a positive.
Ronald Koeman reiterated his belief that Barkley would be leaving, and as a result Tottenham’s odds have come in further, given they are seen as firm favourites to land the England midfielder.
“A lot of times in betting markets, people can get turned away from odds-on markets, but they shouldn’t – they offer so much potential to punters,” OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton said.
“If you think, for instance here Barkley is going to sign – then although odds-on you can still make decent profits here at 5/6 for instance with SkyBet.
“However, because he is odds-on for Spurs, look at the other clubs or even staying at Everton – if you don’t think he is going to Tottenham then you should strike now.”
