The majority of the line-up for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here 2017 has been confirmed, with stars arriving in Australia.
The reality TV show, one of the most popular in the UK, begins on Sunday and the majority of the line-up is now known – although normally a couple of names are kept quiet until the first live episode.
Bookmakers have already confirmed their markets but there is no clear favourites at this stage with actors Jamie Lomas, of Hollyoaks fame, and Coronation Street’s Jennie McAlpine leading the way.
“It will not take long for Bookmakers and Punters to make their mind up – but the Bookies certainly are not offering any huge prices, even the outsider at this point Dennis Wise – who is not being predicted to do too well – is just 14/1,” explained OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“Current favourites are Jamie Lomas and Jennie McAlpine, both are very popular and have big fan bases already established, so it is not much surprise to see them favourite.
“Looking back through the previous winners, you don’t get huge outsiders winning – but it is a popularity contest, the nicest people win this and that won’t be much different here. The perceived bad guys or most annoying contestants will get the trials, but the winners are different.
“Away from the top two in the betting and boxer Amir Khan is looking to become only the third sportsman to win following on from Phl Tufnell and Carl Fogarty – whilst the real unknown quantity must be Stanley Johnson – the OAP and father of controversial politician Boris, the Bookmakers are taking him serious though and he is fourth favourite at just 8/1.
“There could yet be some value here, we think Georgia Toffolo could be one to watch – look at the last two winners in Vicky Pattison and Scarlett Moffatt – the public like the young girls who give it a real go, she could be a very good price at an initial price of around 10/1.”
