Chelsea have become the new favourites for the FA Cup, after the draw for the semi-finals were made.
Antonio Conte’s side, who lost the final last year to Arsenal, were handed what is perceived the easiest draw with Southampton, meaning previous favourites Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur were drawn against each other.
Now Conte’s mean are a short-price favourite, generally rated at 13/8 across the markets.
“This looks a good draw for Chelsea and Antonio Conte, but we know football is rarely that predictable,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“Tottenham are into second favourites, with Man United drifting to third favourites in places – which is interesting given they came into the weekend as favourites.
“And it must be noted, that Chelsea are highly unlikely to remain favourites, the winner of the other semi-final will become favourites, it is only because they are against each other we have seen this turnaround.
“So it is fair to say that if you have a fancy for Tottenham or Man United, now is the time to get on them.”
