Defending champions Real Madrid are favourites once again for the Champions League.
Madrid, who are looking to become the first team since Bayern Munich in 1976 to win three successive European crowns, have one foot in the final after a 2-1 victory over the German champions at the Allianz Arena.
Before the semi-finals, Liverpool were regarded as favourites and they produced a brilliant display to beat Roma 5-2 in their first-leg, but with Madrid looking on course for the final – they are now the favourites once again.
“The Bookmakers always stated that the winner of the Real Madrid-Bayern Munich clash would be favourites overall, and that is how things are transpiring,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“Liverpool were wonderful, but Real were equally impressive to come from a goal behind to win in Munich.
“Real are now Evens and Liverpool around 2/1, but Bookmakers are reporting huge interest in Liverpool and they could very well take over favouritism at some point in the near future.”
