A roundabout bet is made up of 3 singles and 3 any to come (ATC) doubles to twice the stake. If the single bet wins, twice the stake is then used on a double for the other two selections. However if one of the horses odds are less than evens, the full return will be used on the additional bet.
For example you have an Rounder on Many Clouds at 5/1, Long Run at 3/1 and Red Rum at 1/2 with a £1 unit stake.
- If Many Clouds wins, you then place a £2 double on Red Rum and Long Run.
- If Long Run wins, you then places a £2 double on Red Rum and Many Clouds.
- If Red Rum wins, you then place a £1.50 double (your full return as it was less than £2) on Many Clouds and Long Run.
