Acca Matcher
Acca Matcher
This is an advanced tool. Accumulators are a great way to move on from the ‘new customer offers’ and OddsMonkey has the perfect tool to help you. It’s never too early to find out more about advanced matched betting tools and techniques, so let’s introduce you to Acca Matcher.
We’ve currently got 2 versions of accumulator software: Acca Finder and Acca Builder. As the names suggest, one lets you find accumulators and the other lets you build your own. It’s up to you to choose the version that suits you best when looking for the best value accumulator bets available.
Accumulator betting
An accumulator is a bet which has more than one leg. Theoretically, you can have any number of legs you want! Your winnings build up as your bets win. However, if just one bet loses, you’ll lose the entire acca and won’t make any money.
Sometimes, bookmakers will offer acca insurance, so if you lose, you may receive a free bet or similar offer. This is ideal for matched betting.

Using Acca Finder
There are quite a few different types of acca refund offers available. Acca Finder takes the work out of you having to find and build all the different combinations of games, odds and leagues which qualify for the offer.
On first opening the tool, it will list all offers sorted in EV (Expected Value) order. This is the amount you might expect to make if you Lock In the value. Not all offers are based on the same stake though, so it doesn’t necessarily mean the ones at the top are the best value. The next column shows the Q/L (Qualifying Loss) which is the amount you might expect to lose if using the regular Lay Sequential method.
You should then select the specific Bookmaker offer you’re interested in from the drop down to get a like-for-like comparison. In the example above, the William Hill offer has been selected. Once you find some qualifying selections, click on the “Open” button for more information and the calculator.
Here, you can check out a summary of the offer and find a link to the offer so you can check there aren’t any changes to the terms and conditions.
Along the bottom, you’ll see a list of acca methods. Choose which one you want to use to play the offer. The most common methods for insurance refund offers are Lay Sequential or Lock In. Once you’ve made you choice, rename and save the accumulator so you can easily find it.
Place the accumulator on the bookmaker site. You can hover over the event details in the Acca Finder to find which League/Country you need to be searching in to help you find the games more easily at the bookmaker.
The H or A in the Bet column tells you which team you actually need to select at the bookmaker (H = Home / A = Away). In the above example, for the first leg you’d be looking to place the bet on Liverpool (H).
With all legs selected and back bets placed at the bookmaker, you’re expecting the total odds of the back bet to be 5.20 (there might be slight rounding differences). If that’s right, go ahead and place the bet for your chosen stake.
If you don’t want to place the full default £20 stake, change the back stake AND bonus amount to whatever you want and update the acca.
With the back bet placed, go to the Exchange and lay the first leg only with the advised stake at the lay odds noted. If the lay odds have changed, you can type over the odds in the Lay column and update the acca to get the revised lay stake. Once you’ve placed the lay bet, tick the “lay” box shown after the Liability (LBLTY) column as reminder that you’ve done it.
When the result of the leg is known, mark it W or L, (W = your team won / L = your team lost). Depending on the outcome, and your chosen accumulator method, Acca Finder will either show you how much to lay the next leg for or let you know you don’t need to lay any more legs and what the possible outcomes should be.
Access your acca to keep following it using the “My Accas” tab.
You can also set up email alerts to remind you to check on your accas-in-progress. You’ receive an email 1 hour before the start of the next leg. Then, once the acca is finished, the Log Bet button will appear so you can add the bet to your Profit Tracker if you want.
